Meat Cheese Bread
This is a sandwich from Meat Cheese Bread.
It’s specifically pulled pork, broccolini, salsa verde, and aioli on a rustic baguette. It was really good, if a bit greasy. The bottom part of the baguette was hot, soggy, and falling apart. It still tasted amazing. Some of their menu rotates with some regularity [thanks chalkboard menu!], but I’m still partial to their egg salad, bacon, lettuce, and sweet onion on housemade croissant. It’s hard not to order that every single time.
This more than fills the void in a good way especially if you stop for a donut on the way home until the Marchesi wine dinner tonight. I can’t believe it’s already been six months since the last one. Time flies when you’re eating good food [and having fun, but eating food is fun, so it’s redundant].
Woah why aren’t there restaurants like that around here?? Broccolini? Genius sandwich inclusion. Can I get that on the homemade croissant?
You’d be in heaven in Portland. It’s pretty much a vegan/veggie mecca.
